What changes will be required to D2A to replace AUSkey with myGovID?
APRA will be making changes to D2A to replace AUSkey with myGovID and RAM. Entities will be required to complete a minor update to continue to use D2A after the end of March. More information is available here.
Do I have to install or upgrade to version 5.3 of D2A?
Yes. All reporting entities must download and install D2A version 5.3, to complete their submission requirements.
What happens to the previous versions of D2A?
You will no longer be able to use versions of D2A prior to 5.3 to connect to APRA.
You will receive an error message if you attempt to use these versions to perform any task that requires a connection to the APRA server (i.e. to download forms, submit data etc.).
Is there a Mac version of D2A available?
D2A runs on Windows platforms only.
Will D2A work with Windows XP or Vista?
D2A 5.3 may work with Windows XP or Vista however this is currently unsupported by APRA, please refer to System Requirements for more information.
Which internet browsers can I use?
Your browser may prevent you from using AUSkey to access D2A services. Please refer to the AUSkey Compatability page for the latest information.
What do I need to do before installing D2A?
Before installing D2A, read both the instructions on the Installing D2A page and the installation section of the D2A Help Guide.
A file containing the necessary installation files must be downloaded from the APRA website. You may need to contact your IT department if this file exceeds the download limit imposed by your workplace.
Do I need to enter any proxy server details?
If a proxy server is used to connect to the internet, the proxy server details must be entered into D2A to allow your installation to communicate with APRA. To enter these details, navigate to the Tools menu, then Options.
Can I install D2A on more than one computer?
Yes, D2A should be installed on all computers that will be used to complete APRA forms.

Completing and submitting forms
When do I need to download new forms?
New forms must be downloaded when you first install the D2A software and then up to eight weeks before your next return is due.
If your institution’s status changes or changes are made to the forms, APRA may request you download new forms.
Why does D2A time out with 'Operation Failed'?
It is likely that you may need to enter proxy server details as described above.
Where can I find out more information for a specific form?
Details of specific forms are available from the APRA website. Refer to Reporting framework for your organisation type.
Can I add more rows to a table in a form?
Yes. To add a row, right-click on the table and select Add new row.
Can I print the forms before submitting?
Yes. Forms can be printed at any time. Some forms can be printed to PDF.
Why is the Submit button greyed out?
Ensure you are submitting a whole return, rather than a single form. Only complete returns can be submitted to APRA in D2A.
How do I know that APRA has received my return?
When your data is accepted without errors, you will receive a confirmation message on the screen with a receipt number, and a confirmation email will be sent to you.
Can I re-submit a return if changes need to be made after my initial submission?
Yes, you can re-submit a return by making the required changes and submitting as usual.
